Cold hear today – Bright clear blue sky for the New Year. I can’t think of a better place to start a new year than here in the mountains. The creeks are full, the sky is blue and the air is crisp. It’s a good life here in Murphy North Carolina. This is fireplace weather and I have all three of mine going. I really enjoy my pellet stove in my craft room. I spend time working on N scale models in comfort, just takes a few pellets - Happy New Year everyone

As a local Realtor, it is not uncommon to have clients ask about adding a fireplace, or having repairs done to an existing fireplace. I’ve always recommended them to Fireside, and I’ve never had a dissatisfied client. They were always prompt and fair in their pricing. I had one client that finished their basement and added a fireplace. They used Fireside and it came out beautiful!! Christmas Parade 2008 Murphy NC

One of the charming aspects of our small town life is the rustic, yet warm Christmas parade held each year here in our small town of Murphy. Seems like every firestruck in the area is in the parade. I noticed that Stephens Church, Calvary Mountainside, had a very nice float in the parade. It was a cold day but it warmed my heart to see the children picking up candy as the participants on the floats threw it out to all who braved the wind and cold.
